Report what the story actually says instead of what you infer.

– Woman is a wife and mother, giving up her husband and children to go off with a guy she knew years ago. Know what the woman and Connie are giving up.

The moral of the story is the story itself, the experience of the story
The Sin of Adam and Eve - the fault is feliz culpa (blessed fault/fortunate fall)
Possibly the Lottery? The Old Man With Enormous Wings? and the Little Red Riding cluster

I believe I recall Professor Sexson mentioning that the simile he found most grotesque - "Behind them the line of woods gaped like a dark open mouth" - from A Good Man Is Hard to Find may be quiz material as well.
